Protein Crystallization & Crystallography

UGR CSIC LEC CSIC-UGR

RESEARCH FIELDS

  • Protein crystallyzation
  • Crystal growth and
  • Crystallography

As a chemist and biochemist I am fascinated by protein behavior. The high specificity and efficiency in their functions make these macromolecules the most interesting systems in nature from the fundamental and technological point of view. Where these properties lie is the key question. Only two techniques can provide this type of information: X-ray and neutron diffraction and NMR. My research is focused mainly on the X-ray territory and surrounding lands, crystal nucleation and growth.
